Gate Repair

Sample entry: this shows the kind of garage door or gate job we handle. The photo and details are illustrative, not a record of a specific customer job.
A wrought-iron sliding gate kept stopping partway along its run. Worn guide rollers and a misaligned gear rack were replaced and adjusted so it travels the full length again.
The problem
The gate would open about halfway, stop, and then reverse. The operator was sensing extra resistance: the guide rollers at the top had worn flat, and a section of gear rack had shifted so the pinion was binding against it.
What we did
- Ran the gate by hand to locate the binding points
- Replaced the worn guide rollers
- Realigned and refastened the gear rack along the gate
- Reset the operator's force and limit settings and tested the photo eyes
The result
The gate travels its full length in both directions without stopping. The operator no longer reverses on its own, and the safety sensors respond correctly when the beam is broken.
